HOW TO SEND IN YOUR ITEM TO BE AUTOGRAPHED
1. Packing Your Item:
- Safety First: Choose appropriate packaging like a sturdy cardboard box or padded envelope, depending on the size and fragility of your item. Ensure a snug fit to prevent movement and damage during transit.
- Double Wrap for Extra Care: Consider adding inner cushioning with protective materials like bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or tissue paper, especially for delicate items like posters or photographs.
- Secure the Closure: Don't rely on flimsy tape! Use strong packing tape and seal all seams securely to prevent the package from bursting open during transportation.
2. Labeling Your Item:
- Post-it Power: Write clearly on a Post-it note directly on your item (not its protective case) where you want the signature and any specific instructions like "upper right corner" or "center inscription."
- Avoid Ambiguity: Be specific! Instead of "front cover," indicate "character portrait on the front" or "title text at the top." The clearer your instructions, the less chance of any misunderstandings.
- Multiple Items? If sending multiple items, label each item individually with its corresponding order number or inscription request.
3. Personalization (Optional):
- Character Cues: If the item allows personalization, include the desired character name or a short quote on a separate Post-it note on your item. Remember, longer quotes or complicated requests might not be feasible due to time constraints at the signing event.
- Respect the Signer: Keep in mind that inscriptions are ultimately at the signer's discretion. They may not be able to fulfill every request, especially if it goes against their usual signing style or time limitations.
4. Pen Color Preference (Optional):
- Color Coordination: If you have a specific pen color in mind for your signature, note it on a Post-it note on your item. Popular options include black, blue, silver, or gold. However, be prepared for adjustments as the signer may not have every color available at the event.
5. Your Information:
- Clear Identification: On the back of each item, neatly write your full name (as used on your order) and your order number on a separate Post-it note. This ensures your item gets matched to the correct order upon return.
- Return Address Ready: Clearly print your full address (including zip code) on a separate Post-it note or directly on the packaging itself. Double-check for accuracy to avoid misdirection or delays.
6. Shipping Instructions:
- Wait for the Cue: Don't rush off to the post office just yet! After placing your order, you'll receive a follow-up email with detailed shipping instructions, including the address to send your item. This email will typically arrive within 1-3 business days.
- Tracking It Yourself: Remember, we won't send a notification upon receiving your item. Keep an eye on your package's tracking information for peace of mind. We will, however, track and notify you for any items we ship back to you.
Additional Notes:
- Normal Wear and Tear: While we handle your items with utmost care, some minor wear and tear is possible during a large-scale signing event. This is especially true for delicate items like posters. Please consider this before sending highly valuable or easily damaged items.
- Shipping Costs: Please note that the shipping charges shown at checkout are estimates based on the item you chose. Depending on the size and weight of your package, additional shipping fees may apply. We recommend reviewing the "Shipping & Returns" section on our website for more details.
